Belserius Sword
From Tales of Destiny
Character: Mictlan
This is our second collaboration model!
This time we had an order from the customer saying that they wanted to accent the creepyness and while using the base colours from the official design book, make it slightly darker.
Firstly, we were in charge of the overall proportions, the building of the base of the sword, and we asked Y'S FACTORY to build the lens and all the other plastic parts.
While manufacturing the plastic organ parts, we did oversaw the process
but on their blog, they commented that our feedback was way too harsh..
While if I do look back now, I think that the feedback may have been a bit harsh,considering what came out in the end I think it resulted in a great product and we were both proud of what we had made.
Furthermore, because based the proportions on what would look best,there is a part of the sword that is very thing and as a result is very unstable.
We were asked to put looks ahead of structural integrity.
Because the knuckle guard has a peculiar design, when we actually turned it into 3D
we were surprised that we couldn't even hold it.
But we thought this was for the best as it looked the best.
Although this is our second collaboration model, we learned a lot and it was very fun.

◎A message from our customer～Mr Kuro, from Ishikawa Prefecture ～
When they started to manufacture this sword, I kept adding requests and complaints to make this as look as nice as possible, but they took my requests very seriously. I would like to apologise for the difficulty I may have added.
When I look at the final product now, I can tell that everything is detailed so finally, and the creepyness that I asked to be accentuated really stands out. All the colouring and edging everything that I asked for has been done very carefully and I can't even point one fault out from this.
In regards to the sturdiness, I did ask for them to prioritize the looks, so I was told it wouldn't be very stable. However, it was more than enough for me. Although I wouldn't dare to hold it with one hand, I am able to hold it with both my hands perfectly fine.
Finally, I would like to express how I can't thank you enough for making all my impossible requests come to life.
I hope I will have another chance to commission another model. Thank you very much.』
